Problem using Gmail SMTP server
 

Due to my server configuration, it's better for me to not use the mail() function. However, I can't seem to get this to work with Gmail, is this something you can help me with?

SMTP Email: Yes
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 587 (also tried 465)
SMTP Username: (my gmail account)
SMTP Password: (my password)
SMTP Secure Connection: TLS

However, the message is never sent and I see the following error:

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to tcp://smtp.gmail.com:587 (Connection timed out) in [path]/includes/class_mail.php on line 635

Is this a problem with vBulletin, or is it with my server/gmail?
