Quick Reply expanding
 

Something I am beginning to see in some forum softwares like IPB and such is the quick reply is a textbox only a few inches thick, but when you click on it to type, it expands to full size and shows the posting options. This could help minimize page size and keep the quick reply box out of the way until you need it.
