Strange Database Error mails Hello, I moved my forum to a new host today, using the guide from the online manual, and everything went fine. I changed the path's to avatars etc. and also made changes to config.php to suit my new server. The forum is runnig and everything seems to work, and here's where the strange begins... Since I moved I keep getting LOTS of "vBulletin Database Error" mails, all saying the same thing: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql118.domain.com' (4) /www/webvol1/59/kwzh2yeyq3ihqdu/domain.com/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 311 MySQL Error : Error Number : Request Date : Thursday, April 23rd 2009 @ 10:46:07 PM Error Date : Thursday, April 23rd 2009 @ 10:47:07 PM Script : http://www.domain.com/forum/register.php? Referrer : IP Address : XX.XX.XX.XX Username : Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : The mail referrs to my old settings. I have changed 'mysql118.domain.com' to 'localhost' and '/www/webvol1/59/kwzh2yeyq3ihqdu/domain.com/public_html/forum/includes/...' to '/home/domain/public_html//forum/includes/...' in config.php Why is my forum running but vBulletin keeps sending me mails that are saying it can't connect to the database? Why is the mail referring to my old setting when I have changed them, where does it get the info from? I guess there i a possibility this has something to do with changed DNS name servers and that it takes a while for the site to "land", but I'm getting kind of nervous :) |
