Excerpts of an interview of Bahraini human rights activist Abdulhadi Alkhawaja. It was recorded by me in early 2005, shortly after he was released from his first detention for publicly criticizing the prime minister. He is currently in prison again serving a life sentence for his role in the 2011 uprising in Bahrain, and as of Apr 14, 2012, is on the 65th day of a prison hunger strike.
