This is a shocking (yet in someways hilarious) video of Bahrain police staging a 'thugs' scene. This is what the Bahraini police have been doing for months now - sending in a group of thugs, filming them, and then releasing the edited videos to their PR companies (eg. companies like Qorvis or Bell Pottinger) for distribution to discredit peaceful protesters. Watch the video especially at the end to see clear footage of police organisation.
It seems that John Yates however hasn't yet trained them properly on CCTV! I've seen videos of police throwing molotv cocktails, firing gas canisters directly into homes, gassing entire villages, smashing up cars, brutally beating up unarmed civilians in broad daylight, shipping in truck loads of thugs to disrupt funerals, etc (the list is long) but this footage is one of the clearest yet.
No longer should the world believe the PR lies that the protesters in Bahrain are violent - they are not. There are a few that chuck stones, burn tires in roads, and throw molotovs at passing police cars (in order to stop the police raiding their houses) - but they are a minority and they do so after HUGE provocation by the police. The real trouble makers are the police, who are directed to incite violence from day one in an attempt to discredit the protesters and block the path to reform and democracy. This is clearly highly organised provocation that is being ordered from the top (most people suspect the Prime Minister).
It was pointed out to me that this is a supermarket - can you imagine this happening in your home (and your family being insulted or even beaten at the same time)? This is what goes on regularly in Bahrain - no joke. The police are quite simply savages. Insecurity forces. And the West is providing them with their tools.
The West simply HAVE to STOP propping up this regime, in particular through the supply of weapons and huge amounts of tear gas.
