Delete Custom (not public) Group move members to ? rather than default I have found that when using a paid subscription I have users that move from a financial group to an un-financial/unsubscribed group. Now I want to abolish the un-financial/unsubscribed group and have the users revert to normal membership (which is a validated registered user by promotion/moderation). When I select to delete the group it warns me that all members will be assigned to Registered Users ... So far so good; seems reasonable - but what I need is for them to revert to my "Validated Registered Users" because I have a promotion based on a Registered User having made three successfully moderated first posts, the Registered Users group has large restrictions on PMs and other features which should not apply to unsubscribed members after their subscription has expired. In testing this, a user who has 22 posts, was put in a group, which was subsequrently deleted advising me that they would go back to Registered Users, which duly happened, however, the promotion scheme did not (obviously?) notice this user had achieved the requisite posts etc and the user therefore is in the wrong group relative to all the other members. Before I go ahead and move the members manually I would like to get some information on whether I am going about my group strategy correctly. Best Regards, Will |
