So Here was the problem with the test script:
 

A month or two ago I posted a number of messages trying to get the VBulletin Test Script to run. I had seen it on the presales page. I got the input form on the first attempt, but upon clicking the button, although the form remained, all the contents were erased.

I originally tried to test an existing database, then a new empty database. Multiple advice had me creating more databases. That was not the problem.

The problem was that I had Apache, PHP and Mysql installed and running on a Windows XP workstation, but PHP was not configured to work with MySql. This was difficult to find because error messages are disabled but this error is not handled.

It would be good if the Test Script to determine if a computer is ready for the VBulletin product tested if PHP is able to talk to Mysql. This error created a problem where support could not be provided.
