A whole year passes since arresting the youth "Ahmed Makki Khatam - 18 years old" who got injured by birds shotgun in 15 March 2011 when riot police with forces of the Saudi occupation represented by peninsula shield attacked Nuwaidrat area as he was transferred at that time to Ahmed Kanoo health center to recieve therapy & due to his poor health condition & severe injury, he was transferred to Salmaniya Medical complex -the largest hospital in Bahrain- where he was arrested with the injured & casualties 2 days after staying in hospital & specifically in 27 March when the Bahraini army forces attacked the hospital.
So, "Ahmed" spent a whole year since then & until now suffering from pains of prison & pains of his injury by birds shotgun in different parts of his body specially at sites of his injury "head, leg & hand" as the necessary medical care wasn't provided to remove the shrapnel from his body as he suffers from severe & continuous pains because of them especially in cold weather.
"Ahmed" also suffered from the most heinous kind of torture during interrogation & was unjustly sentenced then 5 years in jail when he was 17 years old "minor" before commuting his appeal to 3 & a half years.
He stays now behind the unjust ironic bars in Jao central prison for practicing his right in freedom of speech as that has prevented him from continuing & finishing secondary school.
His family has expressed their concern about his life after his serious injury & called Human rights societies in Bahrain to pay attention to his case & delivering it to Human rights organizations around the world & highlight the oppression on him in each day that passed with his pains due to his injury behind bars .
