9.53am: Amnesty has cancelled a visit to Bahrain, days after the Juan Mendez, the UN's special rapporteur on torture suddenly called off a visit to the kingdom. Amnesty said it halted its planned visit after the authorities in Bahrain imposed a five day visa limit.
