As mentioned in a previous post, we will be holding a weekly campaign for 1 or 2 of the detainees in Bahrain. The idea behind this is pretty obvious; we want to bring everyone to justice. It is preferred not to campaign for more than 2 people in each week, so that each one will have enough time for their appeal to be looked into and considered, and perhaps not forgotten.

This will be our first appeal. I will add a list of the Bahrain embassies and consulates email on a separate post after this.

This letter can be sent as an email to the ambassadors:

Your Excellency,

I am writing to you ask you for the immediate release of Hassan Oun who was arrested on 03/01/2012.
Hassan Oun is an 18 year old boy from Samaheej city, Bahrain who has previously been arrested 4 times. During his time of arrest he was reportedly raped by inserting a hose into his anus by officer Yousif Mulla Bukhait. This same officer continued to then call Hassan after his release; threatening that he would arrest him again and this time rape him until he was dead. Under no constitution, religion or human rights value has this ever been classed as acceptable, thus bringing the country of Bahrain into question about the current state of human rights and democracy.
This is an urgent matter and cannot be mistreated, we are calling and demanding for an urgent release and safety of Hassan, and a prosecution of all those that took part in his arrest, torture and abuse.

Please take a look at this petition which has hit almost 1000 signatures for a demand of Hassan's release. Please respond to this request urgently.
