Request to Allow Simple Plugins Here
 

I would like to request a forum to host simple plugins/products. Sometimes new users makes requests that are relatively simple and best suited as a plugin rather than accomplished through templates edits/conditionals.

How it would work:

If a user requests a modification and it is determined by those who would answer it that template edits would not suffice, and that it would be simple, then it can be posted in the Plugin forum, with a reply to their post directing them to the file. The limitation would be that no plugin can be larger than x bytes (say 1k), and if it is determined it would be larger, then direct them to vbulletin.org. And as well, plugins can only be written at the time for the latest vB version with a disclaimer that they may or may not be updated for future versions.

vBulletin boasts a robust plugin/product capability, so should there not be examples here to demonstate what can be accomplished? Offering help here rather than directing members somewhere else for a relatively simple request, will have a large positive influence on not just new users, but veterans as well.
