Albums duplicate images
 

Hi folks, I am a mod on a forum who is feeling a bit frustrated because of one simple thing. One of my more onerous tasks is to detect "Reposts" i.e duplicate images-that another member has already uploaded. Obviously like most, you don't want to clutter a site/forum with unnecessary duplications of the exact same image!

Why I ask this, is that over at another similar type of forum, the main admin has successfully modified code to enable detection of any duplicate reposts.

So, my question to anyone here is thus: Are you planning on a similar kind of feature in future upgrades?

Btw, I did do a reasonable search to find this type of information, but I'm damned if i can find anything even slightly relevant! I did try to post this question elsewhere but didn't get the response I'd hoped for!

I apologize in advance if anyone is not happy about me asking for this type
of info-because I'm not a licensed customer, but how else do you get to ask this type of question? I am not trying to get support-just a hint of whether this type of problem might be fixed with the next version.

Lastly, surely i can't be the first person to ask this?. Please point me in the right direction so i will be suitably enlightened...
