Computer Chat Encryption software
 

Hi,

anyone who read news lately, can see that more and more attacks and introsiuns are made.

We are about to take serious security steps, which include also encryption of all offline data.

Can somebody point me to some good (free) software for file encryption.

For example to encrypt files, passwords, backups...

Is there such a secure encrypted program, that you could afford loseing USB with your passwords.

Currently I store all my passwords only in hand written book, and even if somebody would get it somehow, I make sure there are only "meaningless" letters written.
