httpd/apache hurting server load
 

This is what I keep seeing. Spikes up to 6 and a steady level of 3 during peak times.....Occasional DB errors (rare, but it happens)

I cant figure out whats going on.

here is my httpd.conf parameters

So far I have tested by
- disabling all plugins....
- all "server optimization" tips for vbulletins options
- various httpd.conf configs

No cigar. Any input on what i can check?
