neither moderators nor supermoderators receive post announcement emails
 

As in title, default installation. I've never messed with mod configurations.
One moderator, and one moderator only, receives the post announcements.

Of course, giving email access or setting the email to an auto responder would be a bad idea because it begs for a password reset. I have not found any threads which contain a working solution for this situation.
