Using infraction groups to 'jail' a problem member? It's going to be tough to explain this, but I'll try my best. :) Here's what I want to do: When a member hits a certain infraction point value (10), I want them to lose access to all forum sections, except one. This is sort of a last-chance for the member before being banned, a 'doorstep' if you will. This forum section is hidden from the regular members, only being seen by the moderators, administrators, and the member on the verge of being banned. I've got the forum section set up, and the permissions assigned to it. If I manually change the usergroup of the member to the infraction group I set up (trolled users) this seems to work perfectly. However, if the person is assigned to the infraction group automatically by being issued an infraction, they don't see any forum sections at all, not even the one I want them to see. Am I doing something wrong, or is what I'm trying to accomplish outside the scope of the infraction groups? I used to have this working with vB 2.2.9 using an add-on warning system from vB.org, and I'd like to have it running again. Thanks for any help you can provide! |
