migrate old forum to vbulletiin - pattern for moving to new forum platform
 

Is it possible to migrate the data from an old forum to vbulletin?

i have a rather tired jitbit forum which is not really a commercial standard product - it served a purpose at the time - i now wish to use vBulletin after months of research as it is i beliebe the best choice...

However can i import the old posts?
What is the suggested pattern for moving to a new forum?

Perhaps it is best to get a new domain name and leave the old forum where it is and de-activate it....

any advice most welcome
