Forum Restoring 3.6.8 via database dump + upgrade to 4
 

Hi,

I'm going to have to move a forum shortly from one domain to another. At the moment it is running 3.6.8 and there is no possibility of upgrading, so I have to take a database dump from the admincp.

How do I then restore to the new server?

I presume I have to install VB on the new server but the version of 3.x via the members area is 3.7

Will I be able to restore the 3.6.8 database to 3.7?

I'm assuming that once I have the 3.x up to date I can then just upgrade to 4 as per the usual instructions.
