ALTER TABLE post ADD FULLTEXT INDEX
 

I am in the process of migrating a forum (with a fair few thousand posts) to vB.

Does the following lock tables? or can I do this while the site is live?
ALTER TABLE post ADD FULLTEXT INDEX (title,pagetext)
ALTER TABLE thread ADD FULLTEXT INDEX (title)
