Starting a new site, some general questions
 

So,

I'm starting up a new site. I currently have a layout and theme through Wordpress that I am happy with, but some of my goals don't seem possible with Wordpress alone.

In a perfect world what I would like to do is:

*Have my site's front page look like my Wordpress site does now, but the content be pulled posts that I make from a specific forum on my site (yet to be integrated, hence why I am here).

If that isn't clear enough let me use an image as an example:

I would like to take something like this layout here and have the news posts be threads I created on a specific forum. I would also like to add in a login \ register button at the top right of the page, which would log you in \ register you for the forums. I would also be adding a "Forum" menu link amongst the other buttons (about, videos, reviews etc.) and when that forum link is clicked I would like to keep the top of the page with the logo \ menu bar.

*Have a premium members feature that gives them access to private forums through a monthly payment system that accepts various credit cards or paypal.

This is my first serious project I am working on and it may be a bit ambitious, but from what I have described above do you guys think Vbulletin is an investment I should make? Thank you for your time and help!
