Forum Template Conditionals
 

I've been talking to vB support and they've done a good job at helping me through some of my questions, but I thought it was time to ask the community and leave them alone. :)

Basically, I'm trying to hide certain elements in select forums. I've managed to to this in SHOWTHREAD and postbit templates using:

This has been working well, but now I'm trying to do this in navbar and it isn't taking. I've also tried $thread and $forum and those don't work either. So does anyone know what conditionals work in navbar that I can use with this code? If not, how can I register $forum, $thread or $threadinfo as an acceptable conditional?
