Social Groups Some social groups improvements
 

The Groups in vBulletin are a nice feature to have in your community but after 2 years its time to give it more function and options. These are my views on the Groups and how it should work and function in vBulletin 4.

1. The "Groups" function is not positioned in the correct way, it should be on the main navbar just like Blogs and Forum.
2. The Groups should have a CMS with widgets so that Groups can have news and other stuff posted on there Groups front page.
3. The solcial groups should have an settin that members on there Blog (when they have the Suite version) can link stuff the the group and look like the Groups has own blogs build in. So when i make a blog entry there should be options that i can say publish also on Group XXX and YYY (Depending on how many groups i'm subsribed) so mutiple groups should be supported.
4. The Groups should have the ability to change where the blocks appear so just like the CMS Left, Right and Middle.
5. The Groups should have a own CSS that the Groups owner can adjust.
6. The blocks that displays members should also be able to be customized so that you can display more info or less info about the members.
7. The main group (Main Group i mean always groups.php and Groups is group.php?groupid=xxx) page should look more appeling you now have "My groups" that takes lot of space on screen and why would i want to see the members there on that page make it smaller so that it less high and smaller. The same goes for the "Recently Updated" its to large make it smaller so you have room for a new section called "Random Groups" on every page load 10 or so random groups are shown there, this way Groups et a bit more cover and attention.
8. There should be a page where you can access all categories instead of the block on the right side that far below everything you want to promote the groups not hide them out of sight, something like that can be made in the subnavbar
9. On the main Groups page an "Group" should only be placed in one section at the time this way other groups get more room to be displayed so if "My Groups" is listing group X and Y then in the other Blocks it should not be displayed anymore.

Can't think of other stuff at the moment if i have more time i can make a photoshop how i would like to see a block of the main group page and the group it self.
