Forum 4.0.6 attachment issue - can't attach< 100k images
 

I have several issues going on with attachments since upgrading from 3.6.8 on Aug 12 2010, any help is appreciated.

Attachments are stored in the database.

I can upload attachments only if they are larger than 100k. When attempting to upload smaller images, the attachment manager progress bar jumps to 100% then shows error: file upload failed.

This occurs regardless of whether asset manager is on or off.

I can not find any minimum size limit in ACP or PHP.ini, only maximum.

When uploading PNG files, they are shown saved as JPG in asset manager window.

Also, can anyone confirm that the latest Java is required for attachment uploading? I could not upload any attachments at all until I upgraded Java from v6 step 7 to newest and some (not all) members of my forum are having problems uploading attachments.
