CMS Custom (own) contenttypes
 

I would like to create my own content type for using with CMS.

Two questions for vBulletin team:

1. What it enough to have a custom content type working? I assume it is enough to:
- add new content type definition to 'contenttype' table
- create vbcms/packages/content/mytype.php derived from existing content type
- create vbcms/packages/item/content/mytype.php derived from existing content type
- create vbcms/packages/collection/content/mytype.php derived from existing content type
- manually change content type of existing node in the cms_node table

2. Is it safe to do so? Will upgrade fail if some new content types will be present in 'contenttype' table?

PS. I have version 4.0.5.
