Forum Changing 100's of hardcoded links in Forum Hi I'm in the process of moving my forum to a new domain. I think I have all the steps required to move the site, but am wondering if there is an easy way to change the hard-coded URLs in existing posts. For example, a post may link back to an earlier post by referring to it's URL (eg. domainname.com/forum/post123.html). Once the forum moves to the new domain name, these hard-coded URLs (eg. domainname.com/forum/post123.html) will need to change to reflect the new domain (eg. newdomainname.com/forum/post123.html) Initially, I'll have a 301 re-direct in place. But once the redirect is removed, clicking on the old link will return a page not found error. Is there anyway I can change these hard-coded links with vBulletin. Alternatively, would I need to make a "find/replace" change in the database? Any help or insights will be appreciated. Thanks |
