CMS Category Manager Issues - Please help
 

When I'm in my category manager, I encounter two main problems.

1. When I try to add a subcategory, the addition seems to appear simply as a regular category for that section.

2. No matter what order I create my categories in, they automatically alphabetize themselves on my Widget when I display them. I want to customize the order they are listed in without having to resort to numbering them "01, 02, 03, 04...etc" if at all possible.
