Suite Upgrade from 3.85 Forum-only to Suite 4.05
 

Reading some of the upgrade posts in general make me want to avoid it like the plague.

Has anyone successfully upgraded a forum to the suite of the versions listed in the title above?

Also, just a couple more questions (sorry if I've missed this):

a) Is there a tutorial that covers this exact scenario, forum to suite upgrade; or is it the same process more or less?

My forum exists in a site like "http://domain.com/forum". I don't want to use the CMS portion.

b) Does vBulletin upgrade themselves as a service? Gonna go look for this answer now anyways...
