Forum default permissions for Unregistered usergroup
 

I am trying to change the "Forum Viewing Permissions" for the usergroup "Unregistered / Not Logged In"

I go to: admin CP > usergroup manager > "Unregistered/Not Logged In" Edit Usergroup

"Forum Viewing Permissions" header

I am setting the first 3 to YES: Can View Forum, Can View Thread Content, Can View Others' Threads

However this doesnt seem to have any effect. When I logout and go to the Forum Index, I can see each forum name but they are all marked "Private". When I go inside each forum I can't see any threads.


I have checked in Forum Permissions, and each forum is definitely set to "Use Usergroup Default Permissions" but on that same page it chooses to select "Can View Thread Content: NO" and "Can View Others' Threads: NO"

If it is getting those settings from the default permissions for that usergroup, all 3 should be automatically set to YES.
