CMS Serious Section Permission Issues Just upgraded to 4.0.5, thought everything was working fine then I did a test of logging out and viewing the site. Now most all of my articles say "you are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page." I created a test account, even made it an admin and still I'm the only one who can actually view the articles. I came to discover that the problem is because of section permissions. I changed a few from a default of no access to be able to view the pages, but still no luck. After FURTHER testing, I came to find that the only section that will allow visitors to view a page is the default "main" section. All other sections, regardless of settings are denied to everyone besides me. One other thing I noticed is that on the "main" section, a couple of usergroups show up 3 times - one of which is the Facebook group and another being a custom group that I made. The workaround is to move everything to the main section, but for those with multiple styles based on the section this will be annoying - especially annoying if you have a lot of articles to change. Need a patch for this ASAP. |
