Questions about VB4 and CMS
 

Hi Guys.

I would like to know how good the vBulletin CMS is? I currently use Drupal which is obviously very powerful, but also very complicated.

Can you do some of the stuff you can do on Drupal, such as creating different website pages using something like views / panels, etc to display information based on article types, etc and create custom article types (i.e. I have a separate article type for reviews and news each with their own specific fields that need to be filled in).

Is there something like CCK so that you can create specific fields that can be filled in for article types and which I can set to required, etc. An example of this could also be to create registration forms for events, etc. Or an example in use on my site is to create phone pages where each page has a bunch of fields i.e. Screen Size, Features, etc which are separate fields so that I can use something like the views module to pull specific information about each phone into a page.

Another question ... are all the modules on vbulletin.org free, or do you have to pay for them ... from what I see, they are free ... but I can't be sure because I can't access them without an authentic license.
