Forum Why in the name of all that's Holy does the FAQ have it's own search engine/index?
 

The latest FU by vbulletin coders got me to thinking....

FAQ search? What FAQ search? Why would there be a search in FAQ that would return results different than if search were used in the forums?

So, using my favorite bugaboo, searching for the phrase CMS, I was of course NOT surprised that in THIS search engine, CMS is not too short to be used......

What a complete case of spaghetti code!

Maybe I am missing something. Why would there be different algorithms/code for FAQ search?

I can understand if FAQ search just limited it to searching a manual (if it existed, which it kinda of does, but not really), or the FAQ info, but why isn't it the same engine?
