restored forum, VB no recognize
 

hello,

my forum was hacked and I uploaded fresh version of VB and restored a backup version to a new uncorrupted database via MyPHPAdmin, then changed the config file . . . but get nothing but ambiguous database error message with no details to help assess the problem.

any suggestions?
