CMS Granting HTML Permission For the Sake of Old Imported Contents
 

Hi;

I have imported my Joomla into VBCMS, and the articles were imported as-is (HTML entities are everywhere)...

I have 3 questions:

1 - (Just for curiosity): Is Impex intended to convert HTML entities (such as <a href> into the relevant BBcode such as [URL], etc....) Did I miss something...

2 - To be able to render old articles in the proper way, I check the cms_tables and made sure that htmlstat = nl2br... But they will show as normal text unless I grant HTML permission to all those who contributed to the old website, including those who left since long...

Is there another way to render the imported html articles properly without granting the author an HTML permission?

3 - Did anybody tried to replace HTML entities with relevant BBCodes? I have been struggling with preg_replace function of php for 2 days, and the result is not fruitfull.
