Forum Moved to new server. Issues after DB Import.
 

Hi everyone - thanks for reading this. If you have any suggestions, I would really be appreciative. I'm about ready to toss my computers out the window!! ;)

I moved from a hosted server to a basic rack server. I have full root and installed all the prerequisites. (PhP, MYSQL etc) So, basic LAMP setup and everything runs fine.

I made a backup of the old forum db and got it uploaded to my new server. I imported it to the new db and all was well. (after increasing the size limits - ugh)

I copied all the files (vbulletin) over to the new server with ascii and binary as needed, checked the permissions, they were fine. (755 & 644, as required)

I went to the admin panel on the new site, and honestly, was pretty surprised it worked on the first try.

As I was patting myself on the back and feeling pretty studly, I noticed that some of the admin features weren't working and then I noticed other issues as well. It boils down to these main issues.

1. I can't update threads etc. It starts and puts the message in the upper left corner, but that is all. It doesn't actually do the updates on counters/threads etc.

2. When I log into the forum, it looks fine. If I click on a thread, it's a big fat blank page. I can click on some features (who's online, profile etc) and they work but others (search, thread display etc) do not.

I read the entire 'BLANK PAGE' portion of the manual and did the steps listed there. New style, no addons, etc. This has not resolved the problem at all.

I reuploaded the entire vbulletin file system. This did not help at all.

So, I have a half way successful import of my backup and a halfway working forum. Not great. :(

Any ideas?
