Forum Retrieve remote file and reference locally? Please Explain
 

Hi,

When you post an image you have 2 choices. You can upload from your computer. Or you can link from a URL. When you link from a URL, there is a checkbox that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally."

What does that mean?

I'm trying to avoid hotlinking/inline linking from other sites. And I'm wondering what this checkbox means.

Also, is there a way to disable linking to a URL for images?
