database backup issue with vB 3.8.5
 

alright. i perform weekly backups of my board's database using the "Database Backup" option in the Maintenance tab. up until last week, everything was fine. i was able to perform the backup in a minute or two and went back to normal.

however, the last two backups i've attempted, i received this error message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 24 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/pem/vhosts/203271/webspace/httpdocs/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 715
but, i go to look at this particular file and this is the only thing there:

if ($this->functions['escape_string'] == $this->functions['real_escape_string'])
so, what's going on?

i can still backup my db using the export feature of phpmyadmin, but it was much easier for me to use the built-in feature from vBulletin. any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
