Forum Please help with spammer
 

I have a disgruntled user who i had to ban and he commenced opening 7 accounts and spamming the heck out of my site.

I had to shut off registration and it took 2 hours to clean it all up. I managed to ban his ip, but he had 2 ip addresses, one for his original user name and then one for the 7 additional spam accounts. I'm assuming he is using a proxy? (I'm new to this)

What in the world can I do to keep this from happening again? I'm ready to quit if one user can cause this much grief.

And if it is very technical, please remember I'm a novice when it comes to bulletin boards.
