Suite vb 384pl1 with vbadvanced to vb suite 403 what is the best way to upgrade?
 

hi all,

situation: vb forum 384 pl1 with vbadvanced and add on's from cyb etc. i first wanted to try if i could go to vbsuite with impex, didn't work out good some things like blogs didn't show up on vb4; also phrases did not upgrade.
i wanted to start with a fresh copy of vbsuite 4 without unnessesary files from the old vb 384.
i think that won't work as of impex will not do the upgradejob 100%

what could i do to get rid of old files from the vb 384 forum when i upgrade to vbsuite 4, is it a problem if they will be kept on the server; could they harm anything of become a safety issue?
if not i could try to copy the original board to a testlocation and upgrade with the upgrade.php script

can someone give me some advice?
