V 3.8 does not work with PMP3.5.x

is there a patch availble? I am getting the following error when trying to get my site up. My ISP has just upgraded to PHP 3.5.2:

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in .........


Is there a simple path THEY CAN APPLY ?
