CMS Want to change CMS from being in /forums to forums/cms

I need some guidance please if possible with 4.0.3.

On the root of my site www.mysite.com is a Joomla CMS which I want to keep, and then when the VB4 CMS is disabled, my forums are at mysite.com/forums.

When I enable the CMS, anyone going to the forums, is automatically dumped in the CMS, which is not what I want.

I want the forums link to stay as mysite/forums and the cms to be on something like mysite/forums/content or mysite/forums/cms so if people don't want to see it, they don't have to.

So, in the admincp, there is a setting to enter the required url, but then in the small print it says that I have to edit the entry scripts and then it gives some examples, but I have no idea what these examples refer to or where to find them. Also, in the examples, it says this:
