Event Links to Calendar Pages and rel=nofollow
 

I notice links to all my calendar events from the What's Going On module at the bottom of my forum are all rel="nofollow" links. I have a niche forum and my calendar has quite a lot of good content. I only display industry events and most include links to relevant websites.

I would love to get these calendar pages indexed in the search engines. I believe it would bring me more members. Unfortunately, the nofollow attribute will not let that happen. Is there a way to change that without editing PHP files?

Are there pros and cons about this I don't know about?
