Forum Navigation and WWW Issue

The site is running vBulletin™ Version 4.0.3
We have this installed "vBadvanced CMPS v4.0.0"

The issues are as follows:

1. When we go to the page it loads index.php, it is currently displaying a mixture of forum options and home page options. We need it to display the home tab without the extended link and forum navbar.

2. When you first load the site the "forum" tab is highlighted when the home icon should be highlighted at start.

3. The site is acting like two separate sites one with www and one without. We tried the following bit in the .htaccess with no success as once you login it refuses to continue and performs a redirect loop.
