Emailing users via forum posts?
 

Hi! Someone pointed me to vBulletin and we're wondering if the software can do something rather specific. My friends and I would like to set up an online message site with various sub-forums, and say we had a forum called "Event announcements" - where any new threads appearing there (but not the replies) would get automatically e-mailed to all users. Skimming through the online support files you have, I see that admins can manually mass-email all users (?), but we're interested in having one forum differ from the others in that it'll automatically go out to everyone, while all the other forums remain regular web-based discussions. Er, if any of that makes sense. Thanks!
