I have a phpbb2 forum that I want to convert to VB3. The 1st step of Impex is to make changes to the ImpExConfig.php file.

Here is my question.

1. Is it easier to move the phpbb sql to my new vb3 board and do the conversion there? or should I just leave where it is.

2. The Impex doc says "Note: If you have impex installed correctly and are running it via admincp, you can ignore the target settings go to the source. This is because Impex will read your vbulletin config file.
Is this correct? I don't have to do anything to the Target on the ImpExConfig.php file?

For the following, items: (if you had to do the the target, lets say step #2 doesn't work, what would I put for the following?

$impexconfig['target']['server'] = 'localhost';
3. I would leave this alone since the target is on my board, however when doing the source, I would change 'localhost' to either the IP address ('239.15.20.15) or to a website name ('www.vwforum.com') correct?

For the following
$impexconfig['target']['user'] = 'username'; What would I put here?
$impexconfig['target']['password'] = 'password'; What would I put here?
$impexconfig['target']['database'] = 'vbulletin_forum'; What would I put here?

4. What would I put for the above?
~ Is this the Cpanel user name, and password? Example: vwforum, password: ImADork (these are real)
~ Is the user name that you created using MySqlDatabase,
or
~ Is it the name you put in your config.php file.
Example:
// ****** DATABASE NAME ******
// This is the name of the database where your vBulletin will be located.
// This must be created by your webhost.
$config['Database']['dbname'] = 'vwforum_vwcarforum';

// ****** MASTER DATABASE USERNAME & PASSWORD ******
// This is the username and password you use to access MySQL.
// These must be obtained through your webhost.
$config['MasterServer']['username'] = 'vwforum_vwuser';
$config['MasterServer']['password'] = 'vwuser123';
