Moving my 9.5gig MySQL Database......
 

Hi guys

Well I have to move to a new server. I've been running vB 3.8.0.

My database is huge @ 9.5gigs (my fault I allowed too many photograph attachments).

My new server has MySQL ver.4.X and PHP ver 3.x which are much lower than I had previously been running (5.X and 5.X) on the old server.

Is it a big deal for my new host to upgrade MySQL and PHP? Does it cost a lot of time and money?

Should I wait until the upgrades are done before SSHing my database over to the new server?
