CMS Split CMS from Forums to create separate areas and no home page
 

I run my forums from /forums and I have my own home page in the root.

I also just want to use CMS purely as an Articles section on my site however, the forums and CMS are so tightly integrated leading me to have heaps of problems with url base etc.

What are the steps that I need to take to separate the CMS and Forums creating individual sections - thanks
