Jump to first unread post + New posts
 

Hello!

I am having 2 issues with my 3.8 setup. One is a feature I thought we had but cannot find how to enable it, the other is a feature we have thats not quite working as it should.

First, the old feature I thought we once had:

A button for users to click on and take them to the first unread post within a thread. So if the user has read the Thread before, but there's new posts, this button takes them to the thread and the first-unread post within it.

Secondly, the feature I am not sure is working:

Currently we colour code UNread threads differently then read. However it doesn't seem to take on whether or not you've opened the post but just if you've seen that there's a new post on the boards. So if I am in a thread view and see some new posts in the list, then browse around the forum before I click on those new threads, they are marked then as 'read' (or I guess 'not new?).

I'd like them to be kept as NEW until you've physically clicked on the Thread to load it.
