V Bulletin as an Article databse Hi Guys and Gals, I'll start by saying what I want to achieve. I want to create an area in my website where I can write technical articles [not blogs] that I can edit when needed add photos and video etc, on a series of topics with multiple sub-areas. I have been using VBulletin on a couple of forums, and this originally posed the idea that this system might be right for my purpose. I've since discovered, following a pre-sales e-mail, all about the CMS functions. These seem even more ideal as the appearance possible is more magazine like than forum. However, I don't want to use VB as a forum where others can post comments etc. it's more a case that i need a management system to present my knowledge to the outside. I may want the occasional blog though, when I go to Expo's and the like. Is VB right for my purpose. Can I essentially have a forumless construction and use the other features that I like, such as the layouts? I can't quite get to the bottom of this from the normal blurbs. Many thanks, Phil C |
