Forum Ranks and Promotions question
 

Alright, bear with me here. I am new to VB4. I run a "utility workers" forum. In which case I want to place all those who work in the industry into 4 primary groups:

water
gas
electric
sewer

I want these groups to have SEPARATE promotion paths. ie, I want their titles and ranks to change after certain post counts. But these titles and ranks will be unique to that respective group. For example: New electric workers will have one "bolt" icon and title "static shock" and progress from there. Water workers totally different rank icons and titles and so on and so forth.

I have this set up now but it requires separate usergroups for each progression (ie water1, water2, water3, water4, water5.) Each time a user in group "water" reaches a certain post count, they move into usergroup water2 and so forth.

My question is this: Is there an easier way to do this? I would like only four primary usergroups (see beginning of post) yet still have separate rank and promotion paths.
