request for MYSQL config advice
 

Hi,

I just upgraded to a new server with the following specifications and was wondering what my My.cnf should have in it.

My server specs are:

Intel Core i7 - Socket 1156
8GB DDR3 RAM
Primary Disk:500GB 7.2k RPM SATAII 16MB Cache
Second Disk (used for MySQL): 500GB 7.2k RPM SATAII 16MB Cach

My forum has around 3 million posts, 25,000 members. We are running VBSuite 4.03.


Also, would I get much improvement if I changed the MySQL disk to a 73gb SCSI or maybe SSD?
